I think they both speak a little about how technology (the pipe and the saw blade) can destroy nature or art the wood when the two oppose each other.

Mass Art
Living on Huntington I have the chance to see Mass art on my way to class and they have a few pieces on display outside one of their buildings. I think that these two peices have something to say about art and technology. I don't know who made them but I would like to find out so I could better understand what its about.
This is me in front of a large oak section with my hand on a metal pipe that is sticking out of it where a branch has been sawed off at its origin. The oak piece is about 10-15 feet long and looks like it was split by the forcing of the pipe into it.
This second piece I can only describe as a windmill saw because thats what it is. The white scoops would theoretically convert the wind power to turning a gear which would move the saw to cut the wood, which is hard to see below the scoops. Upon inspection it doesn't look like it would be strong enough to actually cut the wood but the saw blade is real and sharp enough.
I think they both speak a little about how technology (the pipe and the saw blade) can destroy nature or art the wood when the two oppose each other.

Yoga flame
Yesterday in class we practiced a yoga position called the eagle. I had worked out the day before so my legs were pretty sore but it was interesting and I did feel focused. I have never practiced yoga before except for some meditative/relaxation breathing and I'm not even sure that is yoga. I guess upon my wiki research of yoga it is. I can't help but wonder if Frankenstein had been taught to clear his mind would he be so obsessive about destroying himself.

Also I want to show my favorite band The Mars Volta. These guys help me focus. Their a progressive experimental rock band from california. They are influenced by a lot of things. Including electronica, latin, and jazz.

The Knights Templar.
Yesterday.
I watched a show on the history channel about the free masons. It had a lot of interesting info on their supposed customs(a lot of it they said was still held in secrecy) and their history. The free masons are said to be rooted in the Scottish Knights Templar. The one thing I found interesting is a story or a murder that someone thought should not be forgotten. The faces of the victim and the murderer are part of stonework of a church in Scotland. The two faces are facing each other and the victims face has a gash on his forehead that represents the wound that killed him.
Anyways I also found interesting how the free masons seem to have a strong influence in American history. There are a lot of conspiracy theories related to the masons. Not that i believe them i just think it interesting to think about.
